I was on a roll yesterday! I'd left my craft table out and decided the night
before last to get up and spend as much time as possible making cards and
anything else that took my fancy. And boy, did I get crafty! I decided to throw
in the towel at 6pm when I was stiff from sitting and had a big mess to clean!!
I made 12 of my small cards and one large card. I used up a lot of pieces I'd
had hanging around and I felt great =)
I had
a lot of fun putting these together and felt so proud when I looked across and
saw them all standing on the desk looking all colourful and nice =) Planning on
another day like yesterday in the VERY near future!

Saturday = crafty day
After lunch I decided to get my craft stuff out since I haven't made anything in
ages! I knew I wanted to make a couple of cards with my Dovecraft "Tea
House" goodies and then just generally mess about a bit. For some reason I
seemed to be struggling with ideas (maybe because I'm tired?) so only made 1
additional card. I have discovered I need more practice with stamps though, so
that's something I will work on next time =)
Tea themed card
Cupcake themed card
And a cute little lamb card made with my Kanban
stamps.
As well as realising I need more stamping
practice, I realised something about brads and my crop-a-dile = You can only
punch so far into the card! I had to pierce the card with a pair of scissors so
now it looks a little messy on the inside =( Hey, it's a learning curve!!

Craft time =)
Yesterday I got all my craft stuff out and set to making some bookmarks and
cards. When my parents were away I spent FAR too much time on Ebay looking at
crafty things to purchase and looking for new ideas to try out. I bought heaps
of charms and little phone charm straps (and didn't really spend a lot of money
- chuffed!) and decided to use them instead of, or even as well as, the ribbon
on my bookmarks. I'll attach them to cards as well as I love cards with wee
charms on. So, here are the fruits of my labour;
A thank you card with one of my newest
stamps
A cute giraffe card with another new stamp I
couldn't resist from Hobbycraft. (Bought the paper a few weeks ago on Ebay -
perfect match!!)
And a "hugs n fishes" card I made with some
stamps I received with Papercraft magazine!
Handbag bookmarks with little handbag charms
attached.
A custom made, 2-sided bookmark with a little
teapot charm, made for one of my Mam's friends
A little woodland bookmark with an Owl
charm
And another custom order for my Mam's best
friend. This also has an owl on it!
What do you think? It felt good to have a bit of
a creative streak again =)

Christening boxed card
Today I went to a Christening in Seaham with my parents and it was great. The
weather was really hot and sunny and baby Ollie was SO cute! My Mam asked me to
make an extra special card and this was the result;
The parents
loved it, so I am delighted =) Aww I love babies! xx

NEW BLOG!!!!
Hey everyone!!
I have been thinking about this for a long time, and have finally decided to merge my personal blog with this business blog right here on Blogger! I love Livejournal and have been using it since March 2009!! I feel quite sad to be leaving it, but I need to be making these changes in order for my blog to grow, and also my wee business, Purrfect Papercraft.
SO .... From here on in you will be able to find me over on my brand new blog RIGHT HERE! I will leave my other blogs open so they can be linked back to, and to ensure my few readers know exactly where to find me =)
It's been a blast, but I am really excited to be starting my new adventure!! (Hopefully it will be much easier just updating one blog for everything, rather than 2 separate blogs!!)

******* EDIT *******
After a year of having my personal and business blogs combined I have come up against a barrier and so have decided to reactivate my Purrfect Papercraft blog and keep all of my crafty ventures here :) I have just sat and updated my blog so the last thing to do was to edit this entry to keep everyone up to date. Happy days! :)

Baby baby
In preparation for the fair I thought it would be a good idea to make some "New Baby" cards. I bought some cute embellishments a while back in the sale at Hobbycraft and thought it was high time I got them out and used them!
These cards are the smaller A5 size and they cost £1.50. They feature some of the Hobbycraft embellishments. (I love that gingham paper!)

These cards are the larger cards that cost £2.50. I bought these kitty toppers in a pack from Ebay. I just knew I had to but them! theyre great because they covered a host of occasions. I backed them onto patterned paper and then again onto white card. I made the bows myself.

As you can see they're all wrapped in their cello bags ready for the stall =) This next card was a custom order. One of my Mam's bosses has just had a little girl, and everyone put in for a collection for her. So this card isn't a new baby card as such, more like a gift card that she can keep forever.

(Sorry about the pretty appalling light!)

More Easter cards!
This year my Mam asked me if I would make special Easter cards for my Grandad, Grandma and my cousin Rachel. It was easy to make my cousin's as I'd bought the cross stitch kit a while ago especially for that, but it took some getting going for my Grandparents' cards. Anyway, after trying a few things out and making a big mess (!!) this is what I came up with.

I stitched the little bunnies in around 1-2 hours, I couldn't quite believe how little time it took! It was really enjoyable, it's been a while since I did any sewing like this and it made me want to do more of it!!
xx

You can't see it very well in this picture, but I attached a piece of cream card which I had punched with my Daisy border punch as a little extra detail.

Taking it back in time
These cards are kind of special, because they're totally different from my other cards! They are A4 in size and I am selling them for £3.50. I'm loving art deco at the moment and have made a few cards which reflect that.

Aren't they fab? They're kind of hard to display at fairs though as my table isn't that big and they take up a lot of space haha! But they're worth it =)
These next cards came about because I saw the embellishments and I loved them, and later i saw the black card blanks with "Happy Birthday" written in silver like a border. They matched like a dream! I stuck some gray and white sentiments inside to finish them off.

There were two large dress form embellishments in the pack that were too large for this size cards, so I designed two of my own in the same style as the above. I'm pleased with how they turned out =) They are priced at £2.50.
[Just realised I don't have any photos of them, so I will go take some and come back!]
Last weekend my Mam asked if I'd make a deco style card for her boss's birthday and this is what I came up with -

My very first aperture card!! It's an interesting effect, I think I will make more of these in the future!
