Easter 2015

With Easter just around the corner I have been working on a small order of large Easter cards. They are all A5 in size and have an Easter verse printed inside. I love Easter, there's something about this time of year that is so refreshing and inspiring. This season is more my "New Year" than January!

The first card in this list is one of those rare cards I make every now and again which can be easily reproduced! I love that my cards are unique and one-offs but sometimes I do enjoy a bit of repetition :)

So ... materials. I used cards from Hobbycraft, felt bunnies from Paperchase (which I bought a few years back and am not sure if they have them in again) washi tape, basic coloured card, Easter die-cut sentiments I bought from Hobbycraft but again I have had these a while, yellow silk ribbon and stamps. Yes ... stamps!! I think I am getting back into them again. I go through phases of using them. Sometimes it works really well, sometimes it is a disaster!

Hope you all have lovely plans for the Easter break. I will be spending time with my family. x

More Easter cards!

This year my Mam asked me if I would make special Easter cards for my Grandad, Grandma and my cousin Rachel. It was easy to make my cousin's as I'd bought the cross stitch kit a while ago especially for that, but it took some getting going for my Grandparents' cards. Anyway, after trying a few things out and making a big mess (!!) this is what I came up with.

You can't see it very well in this picture, but I attached a piece of cream card which I had punched with my Daisy border punch as a little extra detail.

I stitched the little bunnies in around 1-2 hours, I couldn't quite believe how little time it took! It was really enjoyable, it's been a while since I did any sewing like this and it made me want to do more of it!!

Easter cards =)

I have to say, I was amazed when I looked in my box of cards and saw that they were mostly left over Christmas cards from my panicked over-production for the Christmas fair and my first attempt at Easter cards from last year! I think they were originally destined for Etsy but I wimped out and they've been in the box ever since! Quite lucky really as it meant I had a really good head start on cards for the Cluny Craft Fair.

Anyway, continuing the mentality that too much is better than just enough, I cracked on (pardon the pun!) and made even more Easter cards this year! Here is the product of my 3-day lock down in preparation for the fair!

Easter orders!

My Mam asked me to make some special Easter cards for members of our family and here are the finished products:
She also asked me to make a birthday card for one of her closest friends (and also my Godmother)

What do you think?

Easter card update as promised =)

I have finished taking and uploading the photos of the cards I have made so far. I said I would post them "soon" so here they are!

This is only a small selection, the rest can be seen on my Flickr account http://www.flickr.com/photos/purrfectpapercraft I'm happy with the way they have turned out, I feel that with each card I make I am getting a little bit better and a little bit more confident. I'm looking forward to making more! =D
