You wait ages for a birthday and 3 come along at once!

Last night my Mam reminded me that she needed three birthday cards for today!! Nothing like a bit of short notice to get the heart racing haha!! I had already put the cards together, I just needed Mam to pick out verses for each of them and then stamp the backs. After a panic about the lack of wireless connection I finally got hold of some lovely verses and got them printed and stuck down. And here they are, all finished and ready to go!
This first one is for my cousin from our family. She has Autism and my Mam alway's says to her "Who's favourite Niece is this?" (Pointing to my cousin) and she laughs and says "yours".

This next one is for my Mam's work friend. Her birthday is a week away, but she's going on a cruise at the weekend and we'll be on holiday when she gets back. So Mam wanted to drop it off for her today. I love those flowers, I think I'll be buying lots more of them!

And this card is for another of mam's work friends! She's a popular lady is my Mam haha!

What do you think?

Update 5 - It's all about Mam!

I've just been having a browse through my blog and it would seem I managed to completely miss out Mother's Day!! I thought I'd missed Mam's birthday, but I had put two of her cards into seperate posts amongst other things.

So, I'll start with Mother's Dad and add the last birthday card on at the bottom =)

First up - my card! I love the colours in this card, and I fell in love with that embellishment when I first saw it. Perfect!

This next card was from my mam to my Grandma. This was around the time I was making cards using color themes, and my Grandma's cards were purple.

This card was for my Grandma from my brother and I. I thought it was very elegant and very suitable for a woman in her late 80s!
The last Mother's Day card I made was for a lady at work, who put in a last minute order for a card for her Mum. I'd just gotten my Mother's Day ribbon so I chose my colour scheme to compliment that.
And finally....
Here is the birthday card my dad ordered for my Mam. I bought the wooden letter tags for myself in the hope of using them in a scrapbook project, but they've sat in the drawer since! So I thought I'd get them out and use them and this is how they ended up.

I can't believe how late I am in posting these! Can't let that happen again!!

Update 4 - Ruby Wedding

My Aunt and Uncle celebrated 40 years of marriage on the 20th of June, and my Mam put in an order for an "extra special, sentimental" anniversary card. This is the finished result, and I have to say, I love it! (Big headed as that sounds!)

My Mam was delighted with the result, and my Aunty and Uncle loved it. they said they're going to keep it forever =D It's the most work I've put into a card yet, it took me aaages!

Update 3 - Happy Birthday Dad!

It was my dads birthday on the 7th of June, so I had 3 cards to make - one for myself, one for my Mam and one for my brother. Dad loved them all and I think he had a pretty good day!

This is the card I made for myself -

And this is the card I made for my Mam. Her verse was like war and peace, it was so long!

And this last one was the cars I made for my brother.

This isn't strictly craft-related, but check out Dad's cake - pretty amazing I'd say! =D

Update 2 - A4 birthday card!

Here's an extra special 40th birthday card I made for Lisas sister. Her specifications were large, girlie and blank on the inside. I think this fits the bill =)

I got to use one of my border punches for the first time on the inside, it has little flowers on it.

Update 1 - Father's Day

Here are some (very delayed!) photos of the other cards I made for Father's Day.

This one you have already seen, but I made a little change to it just to really finish it off. My Mam bought this one to give to my Dad =)

This is a card I made for my Grandad on behalf of my parents. I wasn't quite sure about the bow in the middle at first but it grew on me!

This one was a custom order for a woman at work. She is my only regular customer at the moment apart from my parents haha!! Apparently the background paper looks like one of the shirts he wears, what a happy coincidence!!

More updates coming throughout the day ...

A week since my last post!

I really don't know where the time goes! It's frightening! I have made a few cards but haven't gotten round to taking photos yet. I'm making a super-sized card today for one of the ladies at work, it's her sisters 40th birthday on the 15th and she wants to push the boat out for her! As always, I will post pictures as soon as I can =)

Hope everyone in blog land is well and looking forward to the weekend!

Love, K xx
